resume notes

What Is a Resume? By definition, a resume is a brief summary of personal, professional experiences, skills and education used for job applications. It is NOT the same as a curriculum vitae (CV), which provides a more detailed summary of professional and educational histories. Because each job opportunity is different, the resume you use for each application should be slightly different. Once you create your resume and fill out all of the key sections, you will make small changes in order to customize it to particular job opportunities. In this sense, your resume is a living document. What to Put On a Resume? Every person’s resume looks a little bit different. The commonly asked questions to a job aspirant are: Tell me something about yourself ? Throw some light on your strengths and weaknesses Why do you think our organization should hire you ? stay hungry, stay foolish

“Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.” These are the four simple English words that caught attention as we read through Steve Jobs’ commencement speech. What do these words really mean? In his speech, he tells us that everything happens for a reason. You won’t be able to see your future but as time passes you will understand why certain things happen. As he continues to tell us his story, he talks about the opportunities he gained as he lost what he loved most. Finally in his last story he talks about having the courage to follow what your heart desires because time is limited. Each part of this speech tells a different scenario that took place in his life, and each part inspired me to look at my life in a different way. Through his stories of “Connecting the dots,” to “love and loss,” and “death”, Jobs has become one the most influential man in this world. As the son of average working-class parents, Jobs was only able to receive a minimal amount of financial support of them. Even then Job’...

Stephen Hawking- Positivity 'Benchmark'

STEPHEN HAWKING – POSITIVITY ‘BENCHMARK’ British physicist and mathematician Stephen Hawking has made fundamental contributions to the science of cosmology—the study of the origins, structure, and space-time relationships of the universe. Early life & Education Stephen Hawking was born in Oxford, England on January 8, 1942. He grew up in a highly educated family. Both of his parents had attended Oxford University and his father, Frank, was a medical researcher. When he was nine, Stephen got very poor grades in school and just managed to be an average student. He was always interested in how stuff works and he took clocks and radios apart, but had trouble putting them back together. Stephen enjoyed math and science in school where he earned the nickname "Einstein." He wanted to study math at university but Oxford didn't have a math degree at the time so he chose physics and chemistry instead. Stephen found college coursework to be very easy. He enjoyed being ...
